Presence & ProtocolAn independent guide to Jabber and XMPP

Writing to the desk

There is one email address, it is read by the people who write the site, and it is the only channel.

A plain metal letterbox on a brick wall, morning light, a single envelope showing at the slot.

Write to contact@jabberpowered.org. That address reaches the people who write the site. There is no contact form on this page, because a form would mean loading a third-party script and we do not load any.

What is useful to send

Corrections, first: a wrong number, a specification we misread, a link that has moved. Say which page and which sentence. Second, gaps: a question about XMPP you expected this site to answer and could not find. That is how the protocol layer and the other four layers grow.

What we cannot do

We cannot give support for a particular server or client: the projects have their own issue trackers and community rooms, and they will answer better and faster. We cannot list a product, and we do not sell placement of any kind, as the editorial policy says. We do not administer the Jabber trademark or any badge programme, so requests to use a logo have to go to the trademark owner.

What happens to your message

Mail sent to the desk is read and kept only as long as it is useful to answer it. It is not added to any list, because there is no list. That, and the rest of what this site does and does not collect, is set out on the privacy page.
